About this site

Who's behind Dodge Ram Steering, why it exists, and where to go when you need parts or answers.

Built by Ram people

Dodge Ram Steering is a resource from the Dodge Off Road crew at Dodge Off Road (DOR): experts and enthusiasts who have been in the off-road and diesel truck industry since the early 2000s. DOR builds steering, track bar and suspension parts for Ram trucks, and the same questions about wandering, play and death wobble come up again and again. This site collects the answers in one place, in plain English, whether or not you ever buy a part.

You can read more about the company on DOR's own About page.

What this site is (and isn't)

  • It is general, educational information about how solid-axle Ram steering works and how to inspect it.
  • It isn't a substitute for your factory service manual, the instructions that come with your parts, or a qualified mechanic. Specs like torque values and alignment settings vary by year and model, so we deliberately don't list them.
  • It is independent. We're not Dodge, Ram, Mopar or Stellantis, and we're not an official or authorized dealer for them. Brand names are used only to describe the trucks this guide covers.
